Odned D.

Odned graduated from the reputed Lamdon Model Senior Secondary School in March 2020 from the Arts stream. She completed her Bacherlor Degree in Political Science and International Studies  from Delhi University. Currently, she is pursuing her M.A in Political Science at Delhi University and also undergoing training for SSC exams.

Odend has been with Amrita-Seattle since 2014, when she was in 7th grade! Odned has also been a part of Amrita-Seattle’s Social Impact Lab (‘19), where she travelled for 2.5 months to rural Bengal to learn and participate directly in how philanthropy and community service is done at a grass roots level. Odned loves to take part in adventures, which led her to part-take in a 2.5 week mountaineering training program at the esteemed Himalayan Mountaineering Institute in Darjeeling.

Odned hails from the remote village of Zanskar, which to this day remains completely cut off for 6 months of the year due to the harsh winters. Odned’s family are subsistence farmers and herders. She aspires to become an IAS (Indian Administrative Services) officer one day.
