WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO
BREAK THE CYCLE OF POVERTY

There is no single solution.
Textbooks without pathways to employment, medicine without the security of income, a meal without the shelter of a safe home—one-time services may bring temporary relief, but they are not enough to break the cycle of poverty. In the communities of rural West Bengal and Ladakh, children face daunting realities: under-resourced schools, limited opportunities, and widespread unemployment. Poverty shapes every corner of daily life.
It takes everything, everyday
Through comprehensive systems and community-driven models, our initiatives focus on education, clean water, health and hygiene, and awareness to support at-risk vulnerable children and youth on pathways out of poverty, from elementary to employment.
LIVE TO SERVE
BREAK THE CYCLE OF POVERTY

Rooted in the spirit of “Live to Serve,” Amrita-Seattle transforms lives by helping at-risk children and youth break the cycle of generational poverty — creating lasting change from elementary to employment.
