SEATTLE, WA, USA | August 31, 2025 - We are excited to announce that Amrita-Seattle has been chosen as a 2025 recipient of the AE Foundation Community Grant! This esteemed award, given by the AE Foundation (an initiative of American Eagle Outfitters / AEO), will help to bolster our Hot Meals Programs for un-sheltered at-risk youth and young adults, ensuring nourishment, dignity, and hope.
What This Grant Means

Support for Hot Meals Program
The grant will directly fund Amrita-Seattle’s Hot Meals Programs for un-sheltered youth and young adults. These meals not only feed bodies, but also foster community, provide dignity, and offer consistency in an often unstable environment.

Beyond Nutrition: Well-Being & Mental Health
One of the core goals of the AE Foundation is to promote mental health, emotional resilience, and well-being among teens and young adults. By ensuring access to regular hot meals, Amrita-Seattle’s program indirectly addresses food insecurity, stress, and the daily uncertainty many unsheltered youth face—factors that adversely affect mental health.
