SEATTLE, WA, USA & NEW DELHI, INDIA | May 25, 2025 - ​The day marked a pivotal moment as the PCI India team and members of the Amrita-Seattle Board came together for a forward-looking project kickoff meeting for Program Evaluation, setting the stage for deeper collaboration and more impactful programming.

The convening was rooted in a shared commitment to redefining how we understand and measure progress, learning, and impact across our initiatives. With a focus on India’s most marginalized communities, the dialogue centered on refining the tools and frameworks that guide our work—ensuring they are grounded in evidence, equity, and accountability.

Shaping Strategy Through Collective Insight

The session was expertly facilitated by Dr. Sudipta Mondal (Sr. Director, PCI India), Ms. Sharmila Pal (CEO, Amrita-Seattle), and Pallabi Deb, who created space for an open and dynamic exchange of perspectives. Key themes included:

• Evolving our theory of change models to better reflect on-the-ground realities.

• Deepening our impact assessment strategies for child development and community-based initiatives.

• Challenging conventional evaluation metrics by exploring methods that capture real-world transformation.

This collaboration represents a fusion of field-based experience and evaluation science, aimed at developing programs that not only meet immediate needs but also foster sustainable, systemic change.
